Medvedev hopes to agree on strategic arms reductions in talks with Obama

MOSCOW. July 6 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev believes in the possibility of important decisions on world security and reductions of strategic offensive armaments at the Moscow negotiations with U.S. President Barack Obama.

"Our countries encounter various problems, which we can resolve together - economic problems, world security and reductions of strategic offensive armaments. I think we can make important and necessary decisions on all items on our agenda," he said before the negotiations.

"I am very pleased we can do that, hopefully in the near future," Medvedev said.
