Medvedev notes many points of tangency between Russia, U.S.

MOSCOW. July 6 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia and the United States have many points of tangency, President Dmitry Medvedev said after talks with U.S. President Barack Obama on Monday.

"We have many points of tangency and common interests - global, economic and various other interests," Medvedev said at a joint news conference with Obama on Monday.

During the meeting with the U.S. president, "the desire to discuss all of these themes was demonstrated," he said.

"This is one more result of no small importance, produced by our meeting and by our contacts," he said.

Russia and the United States' joint work "demands good will, mutual respect and an honest respect for each other's positions," he said.
