TBILISI. July 21 (Interfax-AVN) - No sensational statements are likely to made during talks between Georgian government critics and U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden in Tbilisi this week, said opposition leader Levan Gachechiladze.
"Biden is the vice president of the world's leading country. Therefore, he will not allow himself to say anything extra. We will inform Mr. Biden about the situation in Georgia," Gachechiladze told Interfax on Tuesday.
On whether Biden's visit is connected with the U.S. administration's displeasure with the current Georgian leadership, Gachechiladze said he had no information on that. "Besides, government in Georgia must be changed by Georgian voters, not by Washington," he also said.
At the same time, he and his colleagues in the opposition Nino Burjanadze and Irakly Alasania will definitely say that Georgia is in need of radical changes within the constitutional framework and by calling early presidential and parliamentary elections, Gachechiladze said.
