TBILISI. July 23 (Interfax-AVN) - U.S. Vice President Joe Biden is meeting with Georgian parliamentary and non-parliamentary opposition members, including Giorgi Targamadze, Irakly Alasania, Levan Gachechiladze, and Nino Burjanadze, in Tbilisi on Thursday.
Burjanadze told journalists before the meeting that the opposition welcomed Biden's visit to Georgia.
"We will definitely touch on issues related to the internal political situation in Georgia at the meeting and will definitely inform [Biden] of unlawful and antinational actions by the incumbent Georgian authorities," Burjanadze said.
Georgian media reported earlier that U.S. Ambassador to Georgia John Tefft had selected the opposition members for the meeting with Biden.
