MOSCOW. Aug 20 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia plans to make a new model of spacecraft with a cargo version being ready by 2015 and a piloted version by 2018, the head of the Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) said in a television program on Wednesday.
"It is to have a crew of no fewer than four to six people" and be able to stay in flight for a minimum of 30 days without having its life support resources being replenished, Roscosmos chief Anatoly Perminov told Russia's Vesti24 channel.
The craft would be able to fly to the International Space Station, to possible other future stations of this kind and to lunar orbits, Perminov said.
