Blast kills two in Kabardino-Balkaria

NALCHIK. Aug 20 (Interfax-AVN) - An explosion has killed two people in the republic of Kabardino-Balkaria.

The blast occurred in the town of Tyrnyauze, not far from the entrance to the Totur stadium, around 10:30 p.m. Moscow time on Wednesday, a source in the republic's single information center told Interfax on Thursday.

"The body of a 26-year old local was found at the accident scene. His 24-year old brother was hospitalized with serious wounds and died without regaining consciousness," the official said.

Investigators are now working on determining whether the two men were involved in illegal armed groups.
