MOSCOW. Sept 1 (Interfax-AVN) - The international conference on Russia's dialogue with the Islamic world will be held in Moscow on September 24.
The purpose of the forum is to expand Russia's international cooperation with Muslim countries and Islamic organizations of Europe and U.S. in the sphere of science, culture, and economics, the Russian Council of Muftis has reported on its website.
Considerable attention will be given at the forum to the role of Islamic organizations in developing relations with Muslims outside Russia.
Among the forum participants will be Russian federation Council Speaker Sergei Mironov, the heads of Russia's regions, officials from the Russian presidential administration, the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Organization of the Islamic Conference, and other international organizations, as well as scientists, public figures, and religious figures from over forty countries.
