KYIV. Sept 3 (Interfax-AVN) - Ukraine and Libya will sign several military-technical contacts.
"All the details of these contracts have been discussed, and the Ukraine-Libya cooperation has received high-level political support," Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said in Kyiv on Thursday in comments on her meeting with Libyan leader Muammar Abu Minyar al-Qadhafi.
Tymoshenko lauded the meeting, which was dedicated to the prospective contracts.
She also said they discussed all possible spheres of joint maintenance of Antonov aircraft and the opening of a joint center for selling aircraft in Africa, including Libya.
"A Ukrainian working group is visiting Libya to update details of the future contracts. Plant directors and heads of export agencies will sign the deals," Tymoshenko said.
Once the contracts are signed, Ukrainian defense plants will receive new orders and create jobs and run steadily, Tymoshenko said.
