MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - South Ossetia's priority is to develop its manufacturing sector, and this task cannot be fulfilled without Russia's help, said Vadim Brovtsev, who was recently appointed as the republic's prime minister.
"The elements of a systemic crisis can be traced across the entire material production system in South Ossetia. This is why it is crucial to develop a systemic approach towards restoring all areas of the country's socio-economic and humanitarian development," Brovtsev said in an interview with the Vremya Novostei newspaper published on Friday.
South Ossetia is totally capable of becoming self-sufficient by developing its industry and agriculture with Russia's support, he said. "Everyone is perfectly aware that without support from Russia any structural reforms in the republic would be impossible," Brovtsev said.
