TBILISI. Oct 8 (Interfax-AVN) - The Georgian opposition Conservative Party has come up with the initiative of forming a public commission to investigate murders committed by Georgian law enforcers.
"We regard as the greatest crime of President Mikheil Saakashvili and his regime the murders committed by members of government institutions and their impunity," party spokesman Lasha Chkhartishvili said at a Wednesday press conference.
He said his party came up with the initiative of setting up a public commission to establish the truth in each case.
He said the commission should include representatives of NGOs, independent lawyers and experts.
Chkhartishvili said that the commission will handle each case separately.
