TBILISI. Oct 14 (Interfax-AVN) - Someone blew up the transmission tower near the village of Tsagvisi in Georgia's Khashur district last night, Tbilisi says.
"The village of Tsagvisi is bordering with Ossetian villages in the Tskhinvali region, which is why we believe that this act of sabotage was staged by South Ossetian separatists," governor of the Shida Kartli region Lado Vardzelashvili told journalists.
The explosion occurred at 2 a.m. this morning, he said.
Currently, Georgia crime experts and European Union observers are at the scene of the incident.
No reaction from South Ossetian authorities has so far been received by Interfax.
