MOSCOW. Oct 23 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia and Ukraine have agreed to resume the functioning of their working group on Russia's Black Sea Fleet, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Petro Poroshenko told Ekho Moskvy radio on Friday.
"The group's session at the level of deputy foreign ministers will take place in the near future," Poroshenko said.
The working group for Black Sea Fleet issues has not met for a long period of time, the Ukrainian minister said.
"The renewal of the working group's activities is encouraging," he said.
If Moscow and Kyiv manage to rebuild the required level of trust, "it will offer additional guarantees of the working group's success," Poroshenko said.
The agreement regulating the presence of Russia's Black Sea Fleet in Ukrainian territory expires in 2017.
Neither Moscow nor Kyiv plans to revise the terms of their fleet agreement, the Russian and Ukrainian foreign ministers said at a news conference on Friday.
