MOSCOW. Nov 19 (Interfax-AVN) - A unit of Russian battleships led by the anti-submarine vessel Admiral Chabanenko will start its mission to maintain safe navigation in the Gulf of Aden and near the Horn of Africa in late November, the Navy press service said.
The Admiral Chabanenko and a support ship are currently moving across the Mediterranean and are slated to start passing the Suez Canal on November 23.
"Regular presence of Russian naval vessels in the area of the Horn of Africa will be maintained. As was planned, vessels from all fleets will be sent to that area by turns," it said.
