Internal Troops injured in mine explosion in Dagestan

MAKHACHKALA. Nov 25 (Interfax-AVN) - A serviceman from the Russian Interior Ministry's Internal Troops has been injured in Dagestan's Karabudakhkent district, the Dagestan Interior Ministry's spokesperson told Interfax.

The Internal Troops units have been conducting preventive search measures in a wooded area in the Karabudakhkent district since Tuesday, the spokesperson said.

A militants' bunker was found there near the village of Gubden on Wednesday.

"One of the servicemen was hit by a trap mine while approaching the bunker and was hospitalized with injuries. Search measures continue in the area," the spokesperson said.
