BISHKEK. Dec 11 (Interfaxхз-AVN) - Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev has signed a decree sacking Emergency Minister Kamchibek Tashiyev, the presidential press office told Interfax on Friday.
The decision to sack Tashiyev was made on the basis of a filing by Prime Minister Daniyar Usenov.
At a government session on December the prime minister strongly criticized the Emergency Ministry for using reserve funds to build a residential house for ministry employees. The ministers are not allowed to make such decisions and will be sacked for unplanned spending of the funds, the prime minister said.
In response to the criticism the emergency minister offered his resignation, left the meeting and wrote a letter of resignation to the president.
Tashiyev had led the Kyrgyz Emergency Ministry since November 2007.
