Russia ready for joint threats analysis with NATO - Patrushev

MOSCOW. Dec 17 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia is offering NATO the opportunity to make a joint analysis of existent and prospective threats and to discuss remaining disagreements, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev told NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen at the Kremlin on Thursday.

"We are ready for a joint analysis of existent and prospective threats," he said.

"Our opinions about certain events vary sometimes. We are rather close in the view of the Afghan situation and have different ideas of the Caucasian situation. Nevertheless, we should carry on the dialog and try to convince each other," Patrushev said.
