VLADIMIR, Russia. Feb 9 (Interfax-AVN) - Once the fifth-generation stealth fighter jet is put into service, Russia will change the technical names of its various services, Air Force Commander Col. Gen. Alexander Zelin said.
"We will abandon the terms fighter, fighter-bomber, ground assault and reconnaissance as the names of services," Col. Gen. Alexander Zelin told reporters.
"Effectively the entire operational part of the air force has air defense among its tasks, and so our air forces will be called long-range, strategic, tactical, military transport, or army services," he said.
