Soyuz ST supply tower almost ready in Kourou

MOSCOW. Feb 18 (Interfax-AVN) - The Soyuz ST supply tower in the Kourou Space Center in French Guiana will be ready in the second quarter of 2010, Federal Space Agency department head Alexander Chulkov said.

"The assembly works will be complete this April," he said.

The schedule will be updated and the date of the first Soyuz ST launch will soon be set together with the European Space Agency (ESA), the French government space agency CNES and Arianespace, he said.

Kourou Soyuz is a joint project between the ESA, CNES, Arianespace and leading Russian aerospace companies.
