Russian, Iranian diplomats discuss Iran's nuclear program

MOSCOW. April 7 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov and Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Mahmoud Sajjadi have discussed the situation surrounding Iran's nuclear program, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported on Tuesday.

Ryabkov and Sajjadi "discussed the current situation surrounding the Iranian nuclear program and some aspects of the international agenda in the area of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, including in light of an upcoming Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons Review Conference to be held in May," it said.

The parties also exchanged opinions on the development of bilateral Russian-Iranian political dialogue and practical interaction.
