BISHKEK. April 7 (Interfax) - Omurbek Tekebayev, leader of the Kyrgyz opposition party Ata-Meken, who was detained Tuesday night, has been released, Kabar news agency reports.
He is heading to Government House in Bishkek together with his supporters.
Earlier on Wednesday Temir Sariyev and Isa Omurkulov were also released. They plan to hold talks with the authorities.
Sariyev told reporters on Wednesday that he was going to meet Prime Minister Daniyar Usenov.
He said heads of law enforcement and defense agencies and the prosecutor general would be present at the meeting as well. "It is time to stop the persecutions and the shootings," Sariyev said.
