BISHKEK. April 20 (Interfax) - Bishkek residents have organized units to maintain order following reports on riots and looting in the village of Mayevka, Kyrgyzstan's acting deputy interior minister Zaryl Rysaliyev told reporters on Tuesday
"Some 1,500 Bishkek residents gathered in front of the Interior Ministry building in the night to help police maintain order," Rysaliyev said.
Rysaliyev said the Bishkek residents will patrol the streets of the city together with police units.
