Oboronprom holdings' revenues grow

MOSCOW. June 10 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian Helicopters Holding and the United Engine Building Corporation, components of the Oboronprom machine-building group, had upward economic and production dynamics last year, Director of the Center for the Analysis of Strategies and Technologies Ruslan Pukhov told Interfax-AVN on Thursday.

"The center has added the United Engine Building Corporation to its ranking for the first time ever. In the opinion of the center, the corporation's integration is sufficient to view it as a single economic entity," he said.

The corporation ranks third with revenues of 72 billion rubles and 30% share in overall exports. The corporation ranked fifth by the amount of defense product revenues because its main products are civilian.

Industrial indicators of the Russian defense sector were unchanged or even slightly deteriorated last year, he said.

"Only two entities - the corporation and Russian Helicopters - had a real growth of revenues [with due account of 8.8% inflation]. Only Russian Helicopters had profits [57.6 billion rubles in revenues and 39.4% share in exports]," he said.
