RYBINSK. June 21 (Interfax) - NPO Saturn, a company which makes engines for Russia's T-50 fifth-generation fighter aircraft, has signed long-term contracts with Gazprom (RTS: GAZP) worth 1.8 million rubles, said Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on Sunday.
"The government provided support in ensuring additional demand for the plant's products. Long-term contracts worth 1.8 billion rubles have been signed between Saturn's subsidiary company, Saturn Gas Turbines, and Gazprom," Putin said at a meeting which focused on the production of next-generation aviation engines and power generating equipment by NPO Saturn in Rybinsk.
The project to create an energy cluster, being implemented by the subsidiary company, involves production of power-generating and gas-pumping equipment, the premier said.
Federal agencies will provide any help necessary in establishing partnership with energy producers and providers, Putin said.
