Spy scandal had no impact on Russian diplomats' work - Russian UN envoy

MOSCOW. July 14 (Interfax) - Russia's UN Ambassador Vitaly Churkin said the spy scandal with the United States did not impact on the work of Russian diplomats based in New York.

"No effect at all," he said at a news conference in Moscow.

Churkin declined to comment further on the scandal which came to an end earlier this week when 10 Russian agents from the United States were exchanged for four convicted spies from Russia.

"This has nothing to do with me. I did not even read about it in the newspapers," Churkin said.
