Russia sends more humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK. July 15 (Interfax) - Russian Emergency Situations Ministry aircraft have delivered more humanitarian aid to southern Kyrgyzstan.

"Three planes of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry have brought another batch of humanitarian cargo, over 94 tonnes, to Osh," a source at the Russian embassy in Bishkek told Interfax on Thursday.

The planes carried foods, bandages, medicines, blankets and tents.

"The cargo will be given to people affected by the June events in Osh and suburbs, and in Jalal-Abad," he said.

Four tents were assigned to Jalal-Abad Orthodox church head Father Sergiy to accommodate Russians who lost their homes following the outbreak of inter-ethnic clashes.
