Investment in space industry in 2010 will near 100 Bln rubles

KOROLYOV, Moscow region. July 19 (Interfax-AVN) - Significant funding has been allocated for the national space industry in 2010, said Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

"This year sees another pouring of massive resources into the rocket space industry. Sixty seven billion rubles for implementing the Federal Space Program and 29.9 billion rubles for addressing the tasks of the Global Navigation System program," Putin said at a meeting in Korolyov near Moscow.

Investment in the national space industry should return heavy profits and become some sort of a catalyst for developing the related sectors and help solve socio-economic problems, he said.
