Bombs damage police vehicle in Dagestan

MAKHACHKALA. Aug 16 (Interfax) - Two explosive devices went off in the early hours of Monday morning on the same street in Makhachkala, capital of the Russian republic of Dagestan, leaving a police car damaged.

The first small bomb went off at about 0:15 a.m. When a patrol police was sent to the scene, the other bomb exploded, the Dagestani Interior Ministry told Interfax.

"None of the officers were hurt. The patrol car was damaged," a spokesman said.
