Suspected terrorist detained in Ingushetia

MOSCOW. Aug 27 (Interfax) - A suspected militant has been detained in Ingushetia's Malgobek district, a law enforcement source told Interfax on Friday.

Police detained an unemployed local resident who was allegedly behind a car bombing in June 2009 that killed a police officer, the source said.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a Kamaz vehicle was attacked near the village of Sredniye Achaluki in the Malgobek district, the source said.

"Perpetrators in a Zhiguli car fired at the Kamaz and escaped," the source said.

The driver, a Nazran resident, has been hospitalized with gunshot wounds. The vehicle was left slightly damaged, the source added.
