TBILISI. Sept 24 (Interfax) - Four Russian soldiers detained by Georgian police on Friday in the Zugdidi district, which borders on the Gal district of Abkhazia, have been handed over to EU monitors.
The Russian soldiers entered the village of Khurcha with weapons, the Georgian Interior Ministry told Interfax.
"They were detained and questioned. Several hours later, the Russian servicemen were handed over to EU monitors, who accompanied them to the Abkhaz border," the ministry said.
The Russian military has yet to confirm this information.
