MOSCOW. Oct 29 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia is exporting weapons to Iran under five earlier signed contracts that do not fall under UN sanctions, a Moscow source told Interfax-AVN on Friday.
"The implementation of these contracts has thoroughly been analyzed by Russian specialists in military-technological cooperation in order to make sure that they are not subject to international sanctions even indirectly," the source said.
One of the deals envisions the delivery of Krasnopol high-precision guided artillery shells to Iran, he said.
"I will not disclose the contents of the remaining deals. I will only say that none of them are included in the list of weapons that are not allowed to be exported to Iran," the source said.
