MOSCOW. Oct 29 (Interfax) - Russia is in talks with Indonesia on assistance in developing its nuclear energy sector, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexei Borodavkin said.
"We and our Indonesian partners discuss ways of developing a nuclear energy sector in that country by building nuclear power plants in Indonesia and also by implementing such innovative projects as building a floating nuclear power plant for Indonesia," he said at a news conference in Moscow on Friday.
He also said that Rusian companies want to cooperate with Indonesia in the oil and gas sector.
"Indonesia is an energy producer which extracts oil and gas. The interest of our oil and gas majors is obvious," the diplomat said.
Russian companies were interested in extracting Indonesian hydrocarbons and in their deep refining, he said.
