TBILISI. November 1 (Interfax) - The Georgian Interior Ministry will hold a special press conference on November 5 to provide information on the detention of a number of people suspected of spying for Russia, ministry official Shota Utiashvili told Georgian media on Friday evening.
The Interior Ministry declined to comment any further on the issue.
Earlier, The Georgian Interior Ministry declined to confirm or deny media reports alleging that Georgia had arrested 20 people suspected of spying for Russia.
A Georgian Interior Ministry official when approached by Interfax refused to comment.
A number of media outlets, citing anonymous sources, have reported that the detainees are all Georgian.
