Russian producers of infantry combat vehicles to negotiate supplies to Indonesia

MOSCOW. Nov 1 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian modernized infantry combat vehicles will be displayed at the Indo Defense international arms show in Jakarta, Indonesia, on November 10-13, the strategic communications department of the Tractor Plants Concern said.

"Modernized BMP-3 and BMP-3F will display their capabilities at the show. Kurganmashzavod, the manufacturer of the internationally acclaimed vehicles and a component of Tractor Plants, will negotiate possible deliveries of vehicles to the Indonesian Marine Corps," the department said.

BMP-3F is a BMP-3 modification for the navy, which may arouse a special interest to visitors at the show, the department said. The vehicle was built for "rapid reaction units and marines operating solo on hostile territory and in coastal waters," the department said.
