Russian Air Force to fly around 20,000 conscripts

MOSCOW. Nov 3 (Interfax-AVN) - The Military Transport Aviation of the Russian Air Force have already flied some 600 autumn draft conscripts from various Russian regions to the line of duty, Russian Defense Ministry's spokesman Col. Vladimir Drik told Interfax-AVN.

"The Military and Transport Aviation using Ilyushin Il-76 aircraft delivered to the lines of duty around 600 conscripts from the Chkalovsky airfield (Moscow region), Central airfield (Rostov region), Vozzhayevka airfield (Belgorod region), Erebuni airfield (Armenia) and Yakutsk from October 28 to November 3," Drik said.

The Military Transport Aviation will fly around 60 times to deliver around 20,000 conscripts to the line of duty within three months, he said.
