MOSCOW. Nov 3 (Interfax) - The International Affairs Committee of Russia's State Duma on Wednesday decided to withdraw its July 8 recommendation that the Duma unconditionally ratify the new Russian-U.S. treaty on cuts in strategic offensive weapons and to reconsider the bill on ratifying the pact, the Committee chairman said.
"Our committee has just made this decision," Konstantin Kosachyov told Interfax.
The treaty, known as New START, was signed in April and replaces the previous START (Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty).
