Medvedev likely to meet with Japanese premier in Yokohama - aide

MOSCOW. Oct 8 (Interfax) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will most probably meet with Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan on the sidelines of the APEC summit on November 12-14 in Yokohama, presidential aide Sergei Prikhodko said.

"Traditionally, we have meetings with partners on the sidelines of the APEC summit," he said.

"The number of [bilateral] meetings depends on the summit schedule and the possibility to coordinate schedules of leaders," he said.

"Bearing in mind the Japanese appeal, we said we felt positive about a possible meeting with the Japanese premier," Prikhodko said.

"There are no impediments to the meeting with the prime minister, and the meeting will most probably take place. We are ready to discuss any issues," he said.
