Georgia ready to talk with Russia over alleged spy ring

TBILISI. Nov 8 (Interfax) - Georgia's Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said on Monday that the country is ready to begin negotiations with Moscow concerning the arrest of four Russian citizens allegedly part of a spy ring exposed by the Georgian security services.

"Russia has applied via the Swiss embassy for information about its four detained citizens. It plans to take consular actions," she said.

Four of the 13 detainees are citizens of Russia. They have been identified as Armen Georkian, Ruben Shikoyan, Petre Devrishadze and Yuri Skrylnikov.

Georgian media reported that three of them have dual Russian-Georgian citizenship.
