Revenge behind Krasnodar village slaughter - investigators

ROSTOV-ON-DON. Nov 17 (Interfax) - Investigators have said that revenge is the most likely motive for the murder of 12 people in the village of Kushchevskaya in Krasnodar territory in southern Russia.

"The Ametov family who owned the house where the killing took place was the target of this revenge," a source in investigative agencies of the South Federal District told Interfax.

The other people were killed because they happened to be in the house at the time, he said.

Work continues to identify all of the other gang members involved in the crime, the source said.
