MOSCOW. Dec 6 (Interfax) - The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry has sent more aircraft to Israel to help fight fires near Haifa.
"A Be-200 amphibious plane left the Ramenskoye airfield outside Moscow at 3:34 p.m. and a Mi-26 helicopter at 3:50 p.m.," the ministry told Interfax on Friday.
On the way to Israel, the Be-200 will stop to refuel at the Adler airport and the Mi-26 in Rostov-on-Don.
The first Emergency Situations Ministry plane, an Ilyushin Il-76 carrying an operational team, left for Israel at about 2:00 p.m. Moscow time.
