Russian Duma deputies to debate New START in second reading in mid-Jan - Kosachyov

MOSCOW. Dec 24 (Interfax) - The Russian State Duma will debate the new Russian-U.S. Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty in its second reading in mid-January, chairman of the chamber's International Affairs Committee Konstantin Kosachyov said on Friday.

"All of the amendments will be submitted within the next 14 days. Keep working hard," he said.

Russian Duma deputies are expected to draft their own reservations in response to the U.S. Senate's ratification resolution.
