MOSCOW. Dec 24 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Friday credited the U.S. Senate with showing "common sense" by leaving the text of the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty intact during its ratification.
"It's common sense. Neither the American Senate nor the Duma have [made any changes to] the treaty. The treaty has been ratified by the Senate, and today it has been ratified by the State Duma in the first reading," Lavrov said.
