KAZAN/MOSCOW. Dec 27 (Interfax-AVN) - The second test civil transport-passenger helicopter Mi-38 has flown its first long-range mission, the press service for the holding Helicopters of Russia, which is part of the united industrial corporation Oboronprom, told Interfax-AVN.
"The Mi-38 left Kazan, where its manufacturer, the Kazan Helicopter Plant, is located. It covered a distance of over 800 kilometers and arrived in Moscow to continue the test program on the basis of the Moscow Mil Helicopter Plant, which developed this helicopter," a representative of the holding said.
The source said the flight from Kazan to Moscow was part of the test of the new helicopter and experts believe this test has been a success.
