Flaws in crew training were major cause of Kaczynski plane crash - IAC (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Jan 12 (Interfax) - Flaws in the organization of the flight and the crews training were a major cause of the plane crash that killed Polish President Lech Kaczynski, Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) head Tatyana Anodina said at a press conference at the Interfax main office.

"The considerable flaws in the organization of the flight, the training of the crewmembers, and the organization of this specially important flight in a special fighter wing became a major cause of the Tu-154M crash," she said.

Additionally, Anodina said that the other factors that caused the crash are also connected primarily to the actions taken by the crew.

"Among them are bad interaction in the crew and resource management by the captain, the captain's long break in flights in difficult weather conditions, and his insufficient experience in landing using non-precise systems," Anodina said.
