KYIV. Jan 17 (Interfax-AVN) - Armaments and services exported by Ukrspetsexport and its subsidiaries in 2010 had a total value of $956.7 million, which was 19.66% growth, a source at the state-run company told Interfax.
Forty-nine percent of all exports went to Asia, 23% to CIS member countries, 18% to Africa, 5% to America and 5% to Europe, he said.
The company predicts 10% growth for 2011.
As of early 2011, the orders portfolio of Ukrspetsexport and its subsidiaries topped $1 billion, the source said.
A government resolution of December 29, 2010, On the Establishment of the Ukroboronprom State Concern, amalgamated seven state-run companies, among them Ukrspetsexport, Ukroboronservice, Ukrinmash, Progress, Spetstekhnoexport, Promoboronexport and Tasko Export, although Ukrspetsexport decided to abolish the latter on November 8.
Former head of Ukrspetsexport Dmytro Salamatin was appointed as the Ukroboronprom General Director in January 2011.
