MOSCOW. Feb 11 (Interfax) - Police in southern Russia are searching for several people who could have arrived from Kazakhstan allegedly to stage terrorist attacks on Russian territory, a source in local law enforcement services told Interfax.
"The information available to us suggests that presumably five people could have left neighboring Kazakhstan and could be heading to the south of Russia in a car," the source said.
The gang is believed to include four-five people, both men and women, he said.
"Instructions have been issued in a number of regions in the South and North Caucasus Federal Districts to increase vigilance and to exercise thorough control over roads, vital social sector facilities and busy public venues because these facilities are most vulnerable to terrorism," the source said.
