Feb 15 (Interfax) - The Main Interior Affairs Department for the Stavropol territory does not rule out that the militants killed in the recent clash on the administrative border of the territory and the Karachayevo-Cherkessia Repubic could have been involved in the attack on the republic's Interior Ministry convoy.
"On Monday evening the Main Interior Affairs Department for the Stavropol territory received information that a group of armed men suspected of attacking the Karachayevo-Cherkessia Interior Ministry convoy and killing three police officers was hiding in the flood-lands of the Kuban River in the area of the village of Belomechetskaya, the Kochubeyevsky district," the press service for the territory's Main Interior Affairs Department told Interfax.
