Moscow hopes conflicts in Middle East to be resolved on constitutional basis - Medvedev

ROME. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has voiced hope that the conflicts taking place in North Africa and the Middle East will be resolved on a constitutional basis with due account for human rights.

"We proceed from the belief that all the conflicts that are taking place there will be settled on the basis national law with the observation of the constitution, the key rights and liberties that are inherent in the legislative systems of the nations living through hard times today," he said after a Wednesday meeting in Rome with Italian President Giorgio Napolitano.
