BAKU. Feb 21 (Interfax) - Seven soldiers died in an Azerbaijani military unit, the Defense Ministry and the Military Prosecutor's Office said on Monday.
"A serious crime was perpetrated in a Defense Ministry unit at 9:40 a.m. on February 20. Representatives of the Defense Ministry and the Military Prosecutor's Office are visiting the crime scene," the report said.
"A criminal case was opened, and additional information would be provided later," the report said.
The Azerbaijani media said that the seven soldiers died in an Armenian attack at an army checkpoint in the Karabakh conflict zone. Nothing has been reported about possible Armenian casualties.
