Luch Design Bureau developing unified radio system for drones

MOSCOW. Feb 21 (Interfax-AVN) - The Rybinsk Luch Design Bureau is developing a unified automatic control and radio communication system for drones, Luch General Director Mikhail Shebakpolsky told Interfax-AVN.

"This system has a number of advantages, including better resistance to jamming," he said.

The system may be installed in practically every drone type, "including our drones, drones produced by the ZALA company and small drones of other producers," he said.

The company has also developed software for controlling the drones from land-based stations.

"The Luch Design Bureau has developed efficient small-size digital radio systems with the tactical range of about 25 kilometers. The systems can be installed in drones of two to seven kilograms in weight," he said.

"There are also systems for the range of operation of 100-120 kilometers. They are being mostly installed in helicopters," he said.
