MOSCOW. March 14 (Interfax) - The Russian Embassy in Tokyo continues to provide help to Russian citizens temporarily staying in Japan, due to the emergency situation in the country following a powerful earthquake, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.
"By 3 p.m. (Tokyo time) no Russians have been found among those affected by the natural disaster," the ministry said in a statement posted on its website.
The Russian Embassy "in cooperation with local competent services, are making efforts to contact Russian citizens with whom communication has been difficult for various reasons," the Foreign Ministry said.

Efforts continue to compile a list of all Russian citizens currently staying in Japan, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The numbers of the 24/7 hotline opened by the Russian Embassy in Tokyo are: +81-3-3583-4297, +81-3-3583-4224, +81-80-3175-2170.
